Douro Valley Wine Tours is an independent guide. We are not a winery, not a booking platform, and not the operator of any tour or hotel described on this site. Some links here are affiliate links: to GetYourGuide and Viator, the platforms where the featured tour operators sell their experiences, and to Expedia (through the Travelpayouts network) for the hotels and quintas we point you to. If you book through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

The commission never changes the price you pay, and it never changes what we tell you. We feature three real tours: the small-group day with two quintas, lunch and a river cruise by Oporto Road Trips on Viator, the Douro Valley and Amarante wine, food and river tour by Portugal Wine Tours on GetYourGuide, and the off-road wine tour with sunset picnic by Douro autêntico on GetYourGuide. The commission does not decide which of the three we point you toward either; the comparison page argues each one's case on its merits.

The same holds for the hotels. We link to real properties on Expedia so you can check live rates for your dates, but we do not rank them, take payment, or set their prices; the rate you see is Expedia's for that date. We also cross-link a few secondary experiences, such as a Pinhão river cruise or a Gaia Port cellar tasting, on GetYourGuide when they suit the page. Each is a separate booking from the featured day tours, and we flag it as such.

Every rating, review count, group size, inclusion and cancellation term shown on this site is the operator's own published listing figure, not ours, and live prices for your date and currency are always on the listing itself. Where a listing does not publish a detail, we say so rather than fill the gap.
